Night Rider

2 Jul

I’ve discovered some new fun. Last Tuesday night, I joined around 125 Tucson bicyclists at the flag pole at Old Main on the UA campus at 8:30. At about ten minutes to nine, we were off. We travelled through neighborhoods, explored bike paths, rode on to Reid Park and more. Bikes and riders of all sorts. Tucsonans of all ages. White strobe lights and red blinky lights dotted the night, the streets were our dance floor. The positive energy was high and infectious. You couldn’t help but have fun. One rider provided music, while many shouted “Happy Tuesday” warmly welcoming and waving to onlookers.

Thanks to Nicholas (Nick), who welcomed me to the fold. And, kudos to altering your lifestyle and ditching your car altogether!

The ride is safe and run smoothly, thanks to BICAS volunteers.  Join in the frivolity any Tuesday night!  All are welcome.  Bring your blinky light.
