While trekking through downtown about a month ago, I eyed the door ajar at the space between Hub & Playground. There were some folks at the door conversing. What’s going on?! We now know that nationally renowned chef Chris Bianco has decided to bring his pizza to Tucson. Three hour waits are the norm at his restaurant in Phoenix. He plans to open in November or December.

Meanwhile, both Diablo Burger and Proper, rising in the Rialto building, claim they are opening in the next several days. While work is progressing at both spots, I believe their plans to open that soon are ambitious.

Saint House, down the street from all three on Congress, continues work and plans an opening this fall.

Hmmm. Is Tucson becoming the next foodie place?
