You Better Be There!

24 Mar

Tucson fun continues! While we’re known for the busyness and uniqueness of the gem show, accenture match play, the rodeo & more, the madness continues into March & April!

Five of our eight streetcars have arrived from Portland. Check one out on Fifth Avenue, between Congress and Broadway, for the next installment of the Streetcar Celebration. The event takes place Tuesday, March 25, from 5-8. Raffles, live music and discounts will be plentiful. But hang tight…no rides yet!

Foodies will love the month of April. Rillito Downs will be the site for Viva La Local Food Festival, from 9-5 on Sunday, April 6. The event celebrates local food, beer, wine, farmers markets and restaurants (an music!) in a day long celebration. Admission is free. $5 food and drink tastings will be offered.  More info available at vivalalocalfoodfest.com.

On April 12, Mercado San Agustin will be hosting I Amor Tucson, a local foods dinner with music, for $20. Quite a deal!  Check ’em out on FB.

Augustin Kitchen plans the 2014 Local F & B Tasting Event April 27th, from 5-7 PM. Your palate can enjoy local wine and beers and foods from local restaurants Acacia, Pasco, Proper, Prep and Pastry, and more.

April also happens to celebrate our community support of cycling with Bikefest 2014. The popular Cyclovia kicks off a month of cycling fun on April 6!  Check out Living Streets Alliance and plan your biking fun!  Are you up to the commuter challenge?!
